nice one
Hopefully he can improve on that on/after June 19th!
I'm a big fan of Pete. What an amazing story, and great guy!
pretty amazing. If I'm not mistaken he is getting faster, not slower.

Steroids...everyone that has come from Santa Clarita (Magil, Lauren Fleshman, Alysia Johnson, Allyson Felix, Saugus girls, David Neville, Lashinda Demus), they all use steroids.
What kind of proof do you have? This is pure slander.
Good job on Mr. Magill!!! Just shows you that you have to be careful of us crazy old men.
Atta way Pete, good job once again.
A number of those athletes were good before they ever heard of Santa Clarita, and Pete has never lived there, but non of that matters to a brilliant mind like yours! Kind of sucks when an old man can run faster than you ever will, no matter what you do, and you are 25 to 30 years younger. Now go back to your pathetic non existence.
Way to go Pete!
Keep having fun, too!

Libel, dog. Libel.
Congrats, Pete! And thanks for the ongoing inspiration.
Great run. I thought he wanted to break 15:00 on the roads, though? Is that still the plan?
Are you kidding me? 14:45? This gives Masters Runners inspiration! I think I need to go read and follow his 5k training plan again. And again!
Nice job Pete! You're rewriting the book! Wow!

Be realistic here. Pete ran a great time--for a master--and ran with some of the better college athletes. That's all he did. What you see is typical hyperbole from drug-apologist Ken Stone.
Cameron Levins of Southern Utah ran 13:49 and Jon Rankin (who wasn't quite good enough to compete in the 1500 internationally) ran 14:08.
THOSE are the people who CRUSHED. Pete was not with them.
Congratulations Pete!
You should be very proud of what you are doing for the sport of running and aging runners. Your results remind us that we can continue and that we should never never stop achieving whatever we can achieve. We have great roll models like Pete Magill, Earl Feel, Ed Whitlock and a handful of others to remind us of what can be done. It all adds to the quality of life.
You are truly pitiful coach d, pitiful.

Dear Coach d,
Pete set a 49yo single-age American record that is faster than the 50-54 age-group record (which he is likely to get later this year). I'd say that it is hard to exaggerate that accomplishment. While the word "crush" may not be the most fitting in this case, it still works.
Your friend, WowedAgain
... world 49-year-old single age record, 8 seconds faster than world 50-54 age group record.
A-nother solid performance by Mr Magill. Quite the Hat Trick in the past 4 months!!
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
I think Letesenbet Gidey might be trying to break 14 this Saturday
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
