I'm a junior and really just want to see realistically what I would have to do to run at some colleges. I know I'm not at the level they probably want, but I am rapidly improving.
When emailing college coaches, what exactly should I say? Do I need to include any academic info, or should I just say my name, say I'm interested in running, and then ask for the raw times they want to see a prospect runner run? Should I say "what times are you looking for" or do I not have to write that and they will respond back with the times because its implied?
Basically, how do I write a quick, nice letter to college coaches just to gauge general interest.
