I seriously hope that German is back to his true potential soon because it has become depressing. He's pretty good at keeping things positive and not allowing others to see his internal emotions, but he can't fake it forever. There is a large contingent of folks that would love to see him dominating (ala freshman season) again and has to painfully watch him underperform as he find ways to keep himself positive/motivated/believing.
Again, I know he doesn't show it but this HAS to be difficult for him to manage week in and out. Hopefully, the same thing that keeps him motivated will be the same that gets him to reach his full potential: his belief in himself and will to win. But let's be honest, his running 4:03mi would be like Ritz running 13:50 5k (very, very good high school times). It would be (is?)devastating.
