Yes. The day before the mile race, 2-3 400 at goal pace, VERY relaxed, full recovery (400 jog or eq)
if it were me i would try and make that 800 a negative split race with a strong kick, I always feel most confident after a negative split race at any distance.

If you are fit, you will be fine. Make the days in between true recovery days, as in 2-3 miles very slowly.
