Has anyone had experience with both versions? These seem to be similar and the old style (825-833) were perfect for me.

The 890 is much lighter than the predecessors, but it's also softer so in my opinion it doesn't FEEL quite as fast as the 825 did. Still, it's a great option in the performance neutral category.

Great to hear this review, although the 833 is a favourite that I fear will never be replaced
Any other successors in the 833/825/890 series? I GUESS I could consider other brands...
You could also try the RC 1400. It's a little less shoe than the 825 but still offers a good amount of cushioning and support. The 890V2 out now is closer to the 825 series. It's lighter and has a lower heel than the 890V1.

I have the 890 right now. I ran in the original 826 then did the cycle and went back to the 825 and up. Had to move to the 901 up to the 904.
I don't really like the 890. It feels bigger and sloppier than its predecessors. I don't know what is different, but I am not super happy with them.
