On the weekends I usually have 1 long run (easy) and 1 tempo run (w/ 2-3 miles at 1/2MP) the day before. During weekdays I run 2 easy + 1 mid long run (75-80% of the weekend long run).
What's a good pace for that workout? I am under the impression that incorporating quality in this workout makes sense (rather than in the other easy 2).
Was thinking progressively faster (e.g. 8:30, 8:00, 7:30, 7:00etc) up to Marathon pace, and hold MP for the last 3-4 miles. thoughts? too early to introduce some MP running?
FYI I am in base training mode, w/ a Fall marathon goal. I am not doing any hardcore running as noted above.
