Getting ready for tour in 1981 he was running 7 miles a day as reported by The Runner magazine. He's 5-9 and was 125. His dad was a phys ed teacher and he fairly athletic as a youth.
I would bet in his day in his late 20's if he laid off the drugs and smokes for 6 months he could have broke 4:40.

Funny you should ask that. Just a couple weeks ago I was watching videos of Jagger from 1981. He was seriously fit back then. If he had directed his life towards running I think breaking 4 minutes would be a definite possibility. His dad was sort of a fitness fanatic in his time as I recall. Sort of an English Jack LaLanne so Jagger would have been at the forefront of exercising just for the sake of exercising.

I saw a photo of him running and his shoes looked like they had no support. Maybe he's a neutral runner or maybe he just doesn't know that certain shoes can make a major difference on how the run feels. Just because you're rich and famous doesn't mean you get to experience the best in all areas of your life.
