I've been having some problems with my posterior tibial tendon, so I have taken up pool running in the meantime to keep up my aerobic fitness. Problem is, my pool is....very shallow (only 3 1/4 deep), so obviously I can't really do "deep water running" as most of the posts I have seen online recommended. I shrugged it off and just decided to do workouts on the shallow end.
It's a week in now, and both of my calves are extremely tight. I assume this is because of the shallow pool, but I really have no choice in the matter in regards to other forms of cross training (no bike routes, no gyms nearby with ellipticals, etc). Stretching and building up on potassium have not seemed to help that much. Is there anything I can do?
