Two years ago, in his first collegiate indoor meet of his career, he opened with a 3:56.5 against Ulrey, taking over at 1200m. Then he went 3:55.02 solo at Big 12s for the NCAA record.
I'm going with a 3:56.0 opener this afternoon- mostly off strength work I'm sure. He'll sharpen up and lower his NCAA record in March.
