More time trial races on super fast track. My Badgers will eat them up at conference as usual in the 3k!

I don't know half those names, yet here they are running huge times... wonder is Lucas V. has seen these results? I've been led on here to understand IU is in the running for him...

Last year was all Wisconsin and IU going into conference and it was Ohio State going 1-2-6 in the event. The 7:49 from Wisconsin last year didn't even score. Point is, races are different.

Pretty sure Bayer was 3rd at NCAA's in the 3k behind Ulrey and McNeill

Bayer didn't even make finals of 1500 outdoors at conference.

If by eat them up, you mean Ahmed and Peacock spending most of the last lap rolling around the track and whining to the officials, then you are spot on my good sir. Why don't you let others have success where it is due instead of starting this crap.

Thats an awesome time for this early in the season. IU owned this race! Whose this Butler freshman who ran 8.08? Never heard of him.

He's a British guy who ran 8:24 last year according to this profile

IU always peaks early.

Just like last year when Bayer went on to get 3rd at Nationals, and outdoors where they took 1-2 in steeple and 1st in the 5k at Big Tens, and last Fall when they placed 7th. Idiots. Altho...I have to say. Seems to me that the guys who ran fast last year this time did it again and it faired okay for them throughout the last ~365 days.

This is only like the 8th year in row that IU has guys running insanely fast in home indoor meets in January. One can't deny that the times are very impressive. But wouldn't it be great if they were able to run those same times at NCAAs in March?...and then maybe even during outdoors?

The track is only 20m!!!??? HOLY CRAP that is even more impressive than we all though! Easily worth a few seconds faster on a standard 200m track...

On a side note, Bayer has got some damn good range. He opened this indoor season with a 1:50.73 800. That is pretty f***ing fast for a a 3K guy to open up his season with. There are not many guys in college with that kind of range the whole way from 800m to 10K XC

Do you seriously think their coach is setting them up to peak in January? I wouldn't call it a peak, but quite possibly just talent... They did the same thing last year and it DID carry through outdoors and even into cross. Hey it's still carrying over as we speak! Looks like they've got it down pretty well...

Any idea who they're going to use on their DMR, with Turner redshirting? Bayer for the mile, I'd guess, but they don't seem to have a lot of options on the 800/1200 legs without De'Sean.
