My name's Chris, and I'm a highschool XC and Track/Field runner. I've been conditioning myself over the winter and began experiencing some foot pain. The pain is centered around the midsection of my right foot. So specifically, its closer to the inner edge of the foot and below my big toe. If that does not make sense, then i would say its where the ball of your foot is, but on the top of my foot, not the bottom.
The pain started about a month ago and it was only a little sore after runs. Now, after I run, the pain is incredible and to the point where I can't walk or put any pressure on that foot for a few hours. In gym class today, the pain was very bad (without even running) when we did lunges and I was forced to bend my foot.
Are there any ideas on whats going on? IS THIS SOMETHING I SHOULD SEE A DOCTOR ABOUT OR GET AN X-RAY, OR SHOULD I LET MORE TIME PASS AND SEE IF IT GOES AWAY?
