I heardthat there was a major defection from Zap? How many elite runners are left?

That has guys like Joe Driscoll who left about 4 years ago and Morgan and Grace who left for Kentucky. I know that isn't accurate.
I'm pretty sure that Tinney, Nightingale, Polk and Peck all left. Only Janko is still around from that group.
Driscoll departed with injury in '08. has now returned and is living back at ZAP. T. Morgan has retired - Alli Morgan his wife I think is back in Ohio or KY but still (somehow) running for ZAP. Jankowski, Josh Simpson (28:20 guy), new athlete Jesse Cherry (28:43) as well as Chris Clark (7:58 3k) and Alissa McKaig (2:36 I think at fall marathon debut this year) - Esther Erb - 2:38 or 2:39 marathon in 2010 is there. Not sure about Tinney, D Night and others - think D Night is running for NB.
They were average and now below average.
Too much time hosting running camps for the rich as opposed to helping guys make National teams.
That is one of the most ignorant and ill informed comments I have seen in 8 years of reading this board. Those camps (a total of 5 weeks all year typically) are the funds generator which allows the athletes to have their support. In addition, zap's camps for a full week of lodging, meals and guest lecturers is less than 800.00 - if that is for the "wealthy". - you clearly have not gone on a week's vacation recently. Due to the support I received at zap - I was fortunate to make the World XC team and travel Europe - that would not have been possible for me without zika's selfless support and desire to help athletes. It is a shame that there continue to be those who denigrate the likes of Keith, Kevin, Chapman, Greg m, zika and all the others who (if they chose) could use those funds for themselves. I cannot say thank you enough to pete / zika for my opportunity (the havens)

And yet, they can all beat you.
with 9 individual world xc medals i dont think worknesh kidane can be considered average or below average.
Their guys didn't kill it at Club's in Charlotte. Lots of people on this board that can run better.
