I had some buddies over and didn't hear every word of the telecast but no one here can recall the word TCU being mentioned during the entire game. Are we correct?
Ridiculous.
On a related note, I've been saying for weeks if I'm TCU, I announce on Thursday of this week that we are getting on a bus in two weeks and driving to Auburn to play the Tigers for the real title game on January 29th. That day works perfectly as it's the week off between the NFL championship games and the super bowl.
The bus trip to Alabama would take a few days and create a lot of buzz and basically force the Tigers to play TCU. If the bus pulls up, the players get out and go to the field and Auburn does not play, what are people going to think?
They are scared.
They'll have to play and please don't tell me the NCAA can stop it.
I think it's only fair that TCU as the underdog play at Auburn.
Alternatively, once the bus trip starts in Ft. Worth, if Auburn realizes they have no choice but to capitulate and play Auburn, the Horned Frogs could stop 30 minutes into the trip at Cowboys stadium and they could play the game there as the media would already be there.
Having the media on TCU's side is critical anyway.
