That was a GREAT hour-and-a-bit of telly. I hope a few people in the USA found some way to see it.
I've seen a few threads here whingeing about the lack of TV coverage for our sport, and believe me they complain even louder in the UK - the last one I remember watching clearly on TV was John Ngugi. But I think this shows a way forward. Epic scenery, epic backdrops, a good course for spectators on the ground (they can see the action 5-6 times), and the hills and features add so much to it. Even if you don't know anything about the sport, you'd relate to that hill.
Wejo, I salute you on your coverage too. We got great British commentary from an injured Chris Thompson there, and now all the US interviews too. All we're missing is someone to interview and translate for Sergey Lebid... and a few more races in a "world series"...
So, would things like this work in the US? There must be races you could set in epic scenery.
