Any idea who is running the marathon--besides the McMillan crew---Gotcher and Fagan?
My 2-cents - Hall nor Abdi wins. Hall's fitness carries him to a solid time, although it won't be enough for the win. Abdi continues to show his slow decline over the past couple years.
Smyth should run pretty solid too; isn't his best 62 low?
USATF/USADA/WADA: please test the top 5-10 men from this event! It is costly but do it anyway.
updated list has Jorge Torres as well.
Brent Vaughn is heading down to Houston as well.
Where's Trafeh? He could tear all these guys a new one.

Aside from his 59:43, Hall never goes all out in half-marathons...Going to be nice to finally see the two in a race though.
All my best to Josh, Jason, and Matt.
Never said he was going to go all out, but it's been commonplace to see Hall run very respectable 1/2's off of his Marathon fitness.
In my entirely unsupported (by fact) opinion, i just don't think Hall's going to really rip one, even if he does go all out. He might run a pretty good time, but if anyone hangs with him, i don't see him crushing the field (aka, 08 trials fashion).
i would imagine guys like Hall & Abdi are using this more as a "preview the trials course" situation, given that it's difficult to run ANY marathon course without dodging cars and sprinting across intersections, this is the one opportunity to run the trials course straight and familiarize themselves with the terrain.
Go Finch!
the press release says trafeh is running the half marathon.
is arciniega in the full?

i heard belainesh gebre was running the houston marathon, but that was before she ran honolulu, so she may be to tired for another marathon so close to honolulu, but she might as she apparently recovers fast with races mostly half marathons every 2-3 weeks.
No Douglas. She might be banned or black balled from future competition. If I were an RD I would not enter her. It's obvious she's cheating.
This is the test of hall's switch to self coaching. If he runs <60:00 or doesn't win he is going to get sh*t on.
did someone forget to tell him they drug test? nick is pacing his boys in the marathon. shame he can't run, too bad greg can't let go of the reins a little bit.

This is one of the reasons that Nick was accepted as part of the training team. Gotcher is the top runner and the group is responsible for feeding his needs. Just ask Andrew Carlson.
Watch out for Robert Cheseret, he may give the leaders a run for their money.
