I just bought 2 pairs of Nike Zoom Victory XC's of the internet for a great deal.
I absolutely love the lightweight material and everything about them, except for the high arch. It's annoying to me. First of all, I am not a big believer in arch support, but even so the arches in the Victory's feel very annoying and much higher than any trainers I've worn.
I set some heavy weights on the arches overnight and during the day and it has seemed to help a little, but still, I'm almost thinking about removing the insole and performing a reduction surgery on the arch area. It doesn't feel like a huge area, so if I can just reduce it by a bit I will be happy.
Like I said, I got 2 pairs for cheaper than I could get one pair at a running store, so should I risk the experimentation of fixing the problem? I love the material and everything else, so I don't want to abandon them.
Anyone else find the arches in these shoes annoying?
