solid if you ask me.
solid if you ask me.
1 hour. 28 minutes. 38 seconds. That's tempo effort. When did he do this?
you guys are gay
I easily ran 10 sec off that pace for a 12 miler the other day. I could hit mayeb a 9:40 3200 atm. 88's not that great lol.
I could not touch his 5k and track times, but I could grind out that pace for 20 miles prepping for a marathon no problem at all.
stupid. it's solid, but who cares...tons of very talented people could do this as well as your average fit 30-40 year old training for a marathon. besides...who knows the effort of run...was he racing it? and how accurate this young man's idea of what 15 miles really was. For all we know he could be like...oh man im working this is for sure 6 min pace and he just went off of that.

Yeah you guys are awesome talking down what I would assume was a relatively moderate to easy 12 miler for a top HIGH SCHOOL prospect. You must be oh so talented to be able to run 86:08 for 15 miles, wow. Do you know how pathetic you sound? "lol" Also if you are a 9:40 3200m runner you did not "easily" run an 86:08 15 miler. It's possible, but you would have been sucking wind hard. And yes I'm faster than a 9:40 3200 or a 20 miler at that pace for marathon prep.
A 9:40 guy can easily do 86:08 for a tempo run.
Most calculators put a 86:08 for 15 miles equal to about a 10 flat 3200. He claims that he could "easily" do a 15 miler in 86:08 with his 9:40. Even if conditions were exactly the same (which I doubt), the 15 miler is equivelant to ~10sec/mile slower of an effort than the 3200m time. Nobody goes out and runs 20 sec off their 3200 pr at "easily" tempo effort. That's if you are assuming the conditions are the exact same. I'd be willing to bet the 9:40 was on a track with spikes and that the same cannot be said for the 15 miler. Even if the 15 miler was done on a pancake flat course, you still not be wearing spikes and for an easy tempo of that length you would probably not even be wearing flats. Could it be done, sure. But not "easily" for a tempo run.

You don't understand what a tempo run is.
you guys know it says 88, right? not 86
Pretty sure Moussa doesn't do too many of his runs at or under 6 minute pace, that's probably a good run for him.
Are we supposed to be impressed by this? What's the big deal. It's a moderately fast run. It'd be something where I might write in my log "good run". Nobody would care.
you guys are freaks. honestly, why do you care... he would kick your ass in a race. its weird that he would put that on his facebook but maybe he was just feeling really good or something.
STOP ANALYZING IT

You know the guy with a 9:40 is claiming he could go "easily" 10sec/mile faster for a 15 mile tempo run->86:08.
Is this for a female? If so, it is moderately good.
No one cares, but as long as someone's gonna post a thread bragging about it you should expect responses. I've never even heard of the guy.
Yeah I'm not sure why it was started, but there is no need to rip on what was likely a moderately easy long run for a top high school process.
ran a half marathon before his junior track season at 5:32 pace. He ran 8:55 that year, so nothing against moussa, I just don't think that time is out of this world.
To his defense and in response... I run a 9:40 and have trouble holding six minute pace for more than 6 miles. Who knows the other training he's doing and for all we know this couldve been a double day or an off day after hammering out some crazy speed workouts. Just MHO.

I run a 9:46 and can hold 6 minute pace for a marathon. Step your game up.
