I have a receiver/tuner and two speakers. For years, no problem. Last month there is a high pitched whine coming out of the speakers.
If I turn the sound right down I can hear it very plainly. When I turn it up to hear music, it is there, just hidden in the music.
I have unplugged every wire leading into and out of the unit except for power and one speaker. I have tried various speakers that don't hum on other units. I have tried plugging the speaker into each of the four speaker "ports".
Any thoughts as to what is causing this? At some point to receivers just die?
