All i have done since mid nov is tempos and long slow reps 2 miles and so on and i have a 5,000 on jan 25 will i do ok?We dont have any workouts like 220s or 12- 14 1/4s at pace because of the snow and the coach does not want us to peak.I have not been under a 535 pace in workouts 3-4 mile tempos but have done long reps and tempo stuff.Will i be ok or should i go to the local fitness center 220 indoor track and do somthing like 12x 14s at 5k pace or some 220s on the days we run by our self.I need this race in order to make the team but i still want to be around for the other meets.I have been doing 100-90mpw and my weekness is my speed as my cc 10k is 33 50 my road 5k is 16 45 area.I am 20 and have been running 7 years.I will also be running by my self till jan 8 for the x mas break and the coach gave me workouts to do till then more of the same tempos and stuff like that till the 8th. Should i through in some fast stuff on the side with the tempos?
