Desi is going to kick Kara's butt in Boston. Mark it down as done.
1. Desi is class and walks away with first place among Americans.
2. Unfortunately Kara cries and blames it on not enough time after giving birth.
3. Every letsrun poster disagrees with this post and then claims they knew it all along after the race is done.
Desi will kick Kara's butt this April

One thing's for sure, you are NOT class. How mature to defame someone months in advance of something that only theoretically might happen.
-
He or she did not defame anyone, but merely gave his or her opinion. You should look up words before posting, then you'll have their definition down pat. One thing's for sure, you are NOT smart.
-
Not defaming at all.
-
not the op, but....... wrote:

Defame: verb - damage the good reputation of someone.
"2. Unfortunately Kara cries and blames it on not enough time after giving birth."
This clearly qualifies as at least attempting to damage the reputation of Kara.
You and the subsequent poster, Lawyer wannabe, are mistaken. Wow There was right both in the spirit of the post and in the proper use of the English language. -
Yeah, "not the op," it is you indeed who is lacking in smarts.

It's posts like this that make me hope Kara kicks Desi's f***ing ass. And then she could say she truly owns her considering she was coming back from GIVING BIRTH to a baby. -
Incorrect definition and you ARE Wow There, I just verified it. It is an opinion and prediction of an outcome, not defamation. You are lost and need to find yourself. In addition, your language needs improving Mr. Wow There.
Sidenote: I think Goucher will be 3rd and Desi 2nd, with some foreigner winning. Desi is ready to rip one and I don't think Goucher can hang during the latter stages of the race. I don't care what happened there 2 years ago so I am not comparing results or head to head battles. The WC race was fairly hot. -
Wow There is correct. Not sure what planet the rest of you are from.
-
I think the poster is saying she shouldn't run Boston because it is too soon after giving birth!!!!!!! But she will anyways and not do as well as she wants and then say it was too soon. Comprehension is not that hard.
-
Wow There is an insane idiot and the same poster.
-
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Geeezzzzz already. It wasn't a trolling post, not even close.
That's all I was saying and one poster got it right.
She's coming back too soon, period. It's almost half way through December and she had a baby, I believe in September. At Kara's level it is a mistake, in my opinion. Whether she's going for the money or not is not my point, I am talking about her fitness in April versus waiting. Normally she would be fine, but after having her first child I think Boston is too soon. I don't care if you all don't, it's my post and my right to post MY opinion, not yours. She just posted that she ran a 200 in 37.4 and was happy. Fine, but that shows she's got a long way to go. She's not a recreational jogger like a lot of you guys, but a world class runner. Get a clue!
Argue if you like and disagree till the cows come home, I still say Desi takes it, as far as Americans go. If you disagree, fine but what makes any of you right? Nothing.
Crying? That's because it's been said on here dozens of times due to her post race reactions at Boston in 2009. She could not outkick either of those 2 runners and she couldn't get away from them either, so 3rd is what she got and should have gotten.
I swear half you posters must be like 16 years old. -
If you want to criticize someone for crying, why not pick John Boehner?
-
If you want to respond, how about you don't?
-
Desi is a good runner, but I've just never seen her race with the leaders from the gun.
-
It's defaming. Why not be positive and say that it'll be a great race and with two such quality runners we could have an American champion?
Oh I forgot- this is lets run- you gotta be negative.
So tell me, if Davila wins will she all of a sudden be using peds? -

1. Desi is class and walks away with second american, runs her own race and doesn't go with the surge at mile 20 or so.
2. Goucher competes for the win and takes it or finishes top three depending on who has it on the day (always take the field over any one person). She cries at the incredible performance and the incredible effort it takes to run a marathon.
3. Unlike Desi, her rabid followers go bananas and post nasty things about goucher because they are either obsessed with Desi in an unhealthy stalkerish way or upset that an american is finally doing well at the marathon. Similar to Shalane's second in NY followed by anti shalane comments from the desi crowd. Truly weird.
4. She is much prettier crying than the incoming speaker of the house.
It would be much more fun to root for desi if her stalkers weren't such haters. -
Yeah, it's too bad that on letsrun, one person has to be torn down so that another can be built up. It's quite obvious that Boston is very happy to have both Kara and Desi and we should be, too.

So what? Would it be a "failure" for Kara if she loses to Davila in her first marathon back? If she makes it to the finish (heck, starting) line less than 7 months after giving birth, that will be quite the achievement, IMHO. -
Kara is giving her all for the USA by coming back as soon as she possibly can to make sure there are two elite women not one on the line in April. She wants to represent her country as well as she can, and so does Desi. Seeing one of them in the top 3 would be great, both in the top 3 with one winning would be even better. A 1-2 finish would be out of this world and it's so cool that that's even possible. Thanks to Kara it is.
