Shoes that stay soft in very cold weather? Suggestions?

I bet the Mizzuno Wave Riders would be good shoes for this. Just a guess. Not that I know becuase I've never tried them in cold weather.

My suggestion is the Nike Lunarglide +2. I bought a pair to try for the winter. They seemed like a good pick because they seem to have less ventilation so my foot would stay warmer and the sole is a good bit softer than my normal Nike air Pegasus'.

This week has been the first week of the winter I've had to run in below freezing temperatures and my predictions were right. My feet stayed very warm and they felt nice and soft on the road and trails.

Now I have some input on my own question as my shoes arrived last night.

I normally train in Mizuno Ronins ever since I got orthotics (with significant heel lift on one orthotic regular trainers are just too high and blocky now) and I really dig Mizuno, but I broke down and ordered a pair of Nike Lunar Flys just to have something that might stay soft in cold weather on concrete as I routinely run here in the winter in the teens and below and all the roads are concrete. Received them last night and, despite the things I hate about them (heel too high, shitty responsiveness, toe-off, and road feel for me), they did indeed hold their over-the-top mushy softness for the whole run at 24 degrees on concrete. Slowest, but most comfortable pounding-wise, easy run I have had in a while at a given subjective effort. I guess I will stick with them on the coldest days as the slogging pace is worth the extra cushioning. I am wondering if I should have gone with the Lunar Racer - same midsole material, I think, but lower heel than the Lunary Flys.
