It's bad for everyone. There is such a thing as too much info. Fact is even with these "leaks", we don't know shit, so all that happens is people get stirred up in a frenzy.
There is without a doubt things that go on in the US (and the world) that the general populace would flip out over, but that's the price that needs paid if you want the life you have.
Good and bad. I haven't decided which one tips the scales.
Good - government transparency
Bad - deaths
Quite the conundrum!

Disagree.
Good lord, we are SO FAR from too much info. I think there is much too much secrecy. Just one example is the Fed. They are loaning out TRILLIONS of dollars, and there is no accountability. No audit. No response to Freedom of Information Act requests. It's bullshit. All these guys (many with Goldman connections, for example) are single-handedly deciding who survives and who fails. And, surprise surprise... one of Goldman's top competitors is allowed to fail, but AIG who owes Goldman a lot of money is bailed out? Yeah right.
I say good for WikiLeaks. Is it perfect information? Of course not. Are we ever going to know everything? Of course not. But it gives just a little bit of accountability, and I said AWESOME. It might make these guys who forget they are there to serve squirm a little.
It was US Govt employees who leaked the info. Wikileaks or a million other sites could have spread the info. Kill Assange, and there will be others.
Hillary Clinton should resign.
I'm glad US Imperialism and Zionism has been exposed. At least now we know how Obama and Bush have effed the world with out tax money.
Just imagine what they would have done WITH tax money. Yikes!
honestly have we really learned anything? these reports just show that high level diplomats actually say what newspapers report all the time. probably the most important thing reported is that a bunch of arab countries think Iran is as crazy as we do, but even that isn't too surprising they just aren't willing to admit it publicly.
After 9-11, the Ambassador from Saudi Arabia told US TV viewers on numerous TV shows, that the illegal 1940s US invasion of Palestine was the primary cause of 9-11 and that the US must end the 70 year military siege, restore the God Given Rights of Palestinians, let them live peacefully and freely in their historic homeland. Yet, in the 9 years since 9-11, Bush and Obama have ignored the Ambassador's pleas.
Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

The problem is that we get one side of the story, and that's never a good thing. With the US already suffering a global image problem, this stuff will do nothing but fan the flames.
There are too many ignorant people in the world, and they will take this information as actionable in some form or another. I know I wouldn't want to be this Julian character right now, though I kind of think he wants to be a martyr.

This. A lot of pomp and buildup for some rather underwhelming news. Casual remarks about foreign leaders? Ooooh, I'm shocked! Appalled! Is this WikiLeaks guy just interested in trying to be a gossip queen or something?
And the Saudi Arabia thing was the only other somewhat notable piece of news. But like you said, it was hardly a surprising or groundbreaking revelation.
The Fasict/Zionist Obama regime is trying to blame Assange when it's their own employees who out of his/her own guilty conscious released the details of the regime's crimes against humanity. The persons who release the USB key are the real heros. Assange is merely a computer geek looking for a bbllooww job. I hope more people in Facist/Zionist countries release more secrets and expose criminal generals and politicians like Obama, W, Bush, Medvedev, Netanyahu, Putin, Ahmadinejad, Karzai, Merkel, al-Maliki, etc.
How about just plain stupid for everyone involved, from the douche who runs Wikileaks to many of the diplomats, to the NY Times who is blowing this way out of proportion. There is not that much news in all of this. Does anyone in the world think differently of a world leader now then they did before the leak? I don't think so. It does provide more solid sources for what we already knew, which is why the NY Times is so high on this like a stoner who has discovered 50lbs of quality weed. But that is about it.
definitely VERY GOOD.

Careful of your support for these kinds of illegal activities. You are not immune from the FBI and other intelligence agencies identifying you from the source of your posts.

The world has always been controlled by keeping the masses in the dark.
I can not believe that people, who are part of that mass group, want to shut down the source of any information.
Why do they think that we are to stupid to make our own decisions while they are qualified to make them for us?
Those are the one's in the 70 I.Q. division in my opinion.
It depends on the information. If it exposes government abuses of power or unethical and illegal practices then fine show it. But for example if we have a person in Paskistan helping locate Bin Laden and that person is exposed to the world then that's clearly not okay. What Wikileaks does is irresponsible at best.
Locating Bin Laden? Where have you been for the last 10 years?
