This past week was 111. So not to shabby.
Any meet organizers/ race directors out there with an open mile coming up I would love to participate...
There's a downhill one mile race on January 1st in Londonderry, NH called the millenium mile. I know it's far away and after your 5 minute mile challenge is over but it's a real fun one. Good luck with the running, we love reading the blog!
keep doing work, you're kicking ass so far!
Thanks, that race looks awesome I think I will do it. I am going to try to run sub five for as long as I can. The original idea was only a month, but I am going to see how long I can go. So maybe January 1st my streak will still be going.
Thanks a ton again.
Any other open mile races out there? I mean I am running my own mile race everyday so its not like I will have to check my schedule.
Holy Hell!!! Now I definitely have to go to NH for the millennium mile.
You did not specify that there will be UNLIMITED ONE DOLLAR DRAFTS with your bib number.
I will take a crack at a mile and get to spend 20 bucks on 20 beers, that is great!
the NYRR has all-comers races at the Armory Jan 6,20, Feb 10, 24
each night has either a 1500 or mile
Maybe when you actually run a marathon you'll be so used to this 5-minute mile thing that you will just keep running 5 minute miles straight through!

Hey, thanks guys, ha, that is great glad to see that Pete and the guys are following.
UNC Dan, I would dare you to run with me for one week, my guess is I would end your season with a 150 mile week.
I really want a Joe Mac V. UNC Dan race at any distance.
Epic troll attempt.
Maybe you have said this before, but what are your PRs in your distances?
Keep on rocking, Joe Mac. I just wanted to put in another word of support, there are probably a whole bunch of guys like me reading this and loving it, but not bothering to post.
I think I am semi-local to you (Philly burbs), so I know you've had some crap weather this past week or so, because I've been out running (much slower) in it too. I'd offer to accompany you on a run, but I'm afraid I can't keep up!
Good stuff man!
Hey thanks man, yea Philly is pretty close. Well if you are ever going to be in town just shoot a post, I got no problem running with anyone.
Thanks for the support man, definitely makes it easier when I am out there on the road--Solo.

Epic Troll,
I am not going to even waste my time, I've got enough stuff to do. I will keep it short...I am telling you I am being completely honest here. If you don't believe, well you will just have to run with me sometime.
Oh, and my guess is the same as the last one: you wouldn't last a week in my shoes: I would end your season in one weeks time.

the sub-6 challenge has started as of today.
5:52 was today's mile followed by a 5 mile progression run.
I like this concept. It is at least getting me out of my rut of long-slow distance running, and starting with the mile makes all subsequent miles seem relaxed and easy.
Holy F****ing Sh**. Employee 1.1 just broke 15:00 for 5000 for the 1st time at age 36.
