Did any other Oregon runners not finish? Or did Oregon start only five men? And if so, why would they take a such a risk?

I was wondering the same thing. Mildly ironic that Chad Hall of UCR finished a few spots ahead of AJ Acosta. Wasn't it AJ and his teammates' wild antics back in 2008 that led to Chad's departure.
2 oregon runners were too hungover to complete the race. Oregon is a party school and the runners wouldn't miss a night of drinking for something as meaningless as a cross country race.
you said the same thing about FSU at regionals, artard
With the winds in Terra Haute today, the course was in danger of losing its Rupp certification. Some of the Ducks didn't want to risk it.
chad hall left because his girlfriend made him.
Eksellent!

Maybe, but I bet they can spell "Terre Haute."
Though head coach Vin Lananna brought eight runners to Terra Haute for the meet, only five raced.

Sounds like a behavior/discipline issue to me.
Bingo. Will be interesting to see if the story gets out.
That article can be easily disproven - just look at photos of the men's race. It may be true that only five finished, but more than five are pictured racing.
There are two Oregon runners in the photos who don't show up in the results. One, I'm guessing by bib numbers (which are alphabetical), is DeJarnette. The other I don't recognize, but he comes alphabetically between Puskedra and Stinson.

probably shrader
I was there at "Terror no Hope" and saw the race. Oregon ran 7.
2 DNF
Shrader at about 3K WTF?
DeJarnette at about 6K WTF x 2
I hope they have good reasons to DNF because that is a disgrace to the "O"
It was Wayne Rooney
