Let's see, I have it from the mouths of Oregon officials that LR.com is not considered a legitimate sports news organization, nor a friend of the Oregon program -- due in large part to 1). behavior allowed on the LR message boards. 2). snarky non journalistic or professional headlines on the front page...that sometimes lean toward an anti-Oregon bias.

If you want to critique something, how about that this auction missed an opportunity to sell the jerseys based on who wore which one. --Probably would have been an NCAA violation for a current student athlete to sign, or be named as the wearer of an auctioned item -- even more understanding why Andy could sign, and others could not.

Where is the anti-oregon sentiment in the post? Rojo is doing a good thing by even bringing attention to the auction, something he doesn't have to do at all. What is the point of your post? You're attacking Rojo for 1) bringing attention to a good cause 2) asking a legitimate question. Sounds like someone has an axe to grind...

From the sound of it I gathered two things, one is a comment on your "observation", the other on Rojos post. From your comments, it sounds like they (the oregon athletes) must read the site then correct? Haven't the Brojos accomplished their goal then? The second point, didn't Rojo say that an oregon person gave him the info? Wouldn't that directly contradict what you said?

Not true at all. In fact most people I think would agree that the two aforementioned sites are the biggest groupie sites. They provide great information at times, but their constant fawning of certain programs is no worse than some of the stuff I've read on here. And remind me again of the last time that Oregon did an exclusive with either one of these sites? Looks like they are in the same boat as letsrun.

The one point you hit on head is that the athletes can't sign these singlets without compromising eligibility.

FWIW and because i'm bored and want to pick nits. the singlet is predominately white, with pink letters. that is to say, it's not pink.

and it's a singlet, not a jersey.

It's a good cause but pink just isn't for me.

If they really wanted to raise money Oregon should make up a few of those jerseys in the original colors (Yellow, green lettering)!

Im all for supporting those who may have cancer and financial need, but What exacly am I supporting in awareness? I think everyone is AWARE of cancer, if not, then, thats there problem.

I would like to support cancer research and those in financial need and cannot afford treatment on their own. ANyone know where the money is going? it says Willamette Valley Cancer Institute, is that to the hospital or to research or patients?
