request for knowledge about nike shox running shoes

Nike Shox? At 12 ounces, you might as well strap a pair of weights on your ankles while you're at it. I would recommend slowly acclimating yourself to minimalist shoes and then eventually, barefeet running. Studies have shown that shoes are the #1 cause of injuries in runners these days. The Indians used to run hundreds of miles barefoot and skeletal evidence suggests they suffered from fewer stress fractures than we do today with our large, bulky shoes. You need to get used to barefoot running, but once you do, you'll never go back! The amazing thing is that your feet won't get tough, either. The road has an amazing exfoliation sort of affect on bare feet. Just watch out for nails and screws that fall off contruction workers' trucks!!! ;)

just skip right to bare feet, eat only granola and berries, and go live in the woods and run 20 miles per day at 15 minute mile pace

I run in Nike Shox everyday. I usually have 2 pair that I rotate. I get ~1,000 miles on each pair. But I avoid concrete/asphalt as much as possible, so thats probably why they last so long. I run on grass, trails, cinder trails at a park nearby. I also found that the Shox that have a row of 3 "shox" last longer than the ones with a row of 2 "shox". The ones I ran in today are Nike Shox Qualify+. I'm not sure the name of my other pair but they're almost identical. They may be called Nike Shox Turbo 8..

Everyone else on this board thinks Nike Shox are horrible running shoes, but I found out it's the complete opposite. Not everyone is afraid to have a LITTLE weight on their feet. Weight that I don't even notice. And that's probably due to the fact that I have been wearing Shox way before I ever started running.

yes i do like the sound of bare foot running but the problem with me is that firstly i live in a city so i would be so scared as to what i would step on and im also really not committed to running so i genuinely dont know if i would do it for long enough to get used to it and start loving it!! i wish i could say i am that strong willed!!

good tip on the three shox, il go and have a little look in the shops, i think mentally for me itd be good to put on some weighty shoes, super cushioned and a bit luxurious just to take the edge of the running itself! realistically im buying the shoes so that owning them will cause guilt and force me to run!!

Nevermind my barefeet running comments, I was 100% trollin' and nobody bit. The minimalist shoes are actually pretty cool but don't run barefoot...human beings were not meant to run barefoot on asphalt!

They suck thats all you need to know. Buy a real running shoe.
