Curious if anyone knows of some good routes to run in WV - down around Clarksburg on business for a day and thought about getting a run in tomorrow. Maybe a nice XC loop? I know I am not too far from Morgantown.
Thanks

How long of a run are you looking for?
You shore got a purdy mouth.
I believe the movie you're referencing took place in Georgia.
Click on the squares on this map and it shows different state parks in that area.

This site gives a listing of hiking places from closest to furthest, but that is from Morgantown.
That's right.
Haven't seen you since I had you squealing like a little pig, boy. How've you been?
They have a great trail that runs near clarksburg.

A few years ago I biked about 50 miles of the trail. I did both ends but not the middle part.
I ran the Ridge runners marathon which uses about 6 miles of the trail.
There is also a trail outside of fairmont along the monangahela that I ran a half marathon on last year.

Whatever you do, don't go to Morgantown. There are quite a few cross country courses around the area, including fairmont, but I would suggest going a little farther west for some good running. I know the rail-trails goes through there somewhere, although I'm not sure of its exact location in Clarksburg. If you go West to Salem or Doddridge, the rail-trail goes right along the highway, and it's actually pretty scenic. If you go to West Union (about 30miles outside of Clarksburg), there are lots of long country roads you can run on. Just watch out for dogs.
Thanks 4 all the responses. The reason I had mentioned Logan town was because I knew they had a good xc team. Looki g to keep it under 10 miles for time reasons
Damn spell check. Morgantown not Logan town
I would recommend Huntington - very nice city.
