Background - Just did my 1st Ironman at the end of August.
Trained pretty religiously for about 8 months for it. Had a variety of injuries (from over-training probably), but finished the race. I took all of September off and now have been just starting to go back to the gym.
I'm 27 and pretty athletic. Not trying to break any records, just want to get back into good shape and then start training for a few 1/2 marathons and maybe marathons in 2011.
I need help with a training regime for the next year (now through next summer). I was planning on not running at all until January 2011. I want to get stronger (so have been lifting, even though i hate lifting). But really just need advice on what I should be doing.
I'm pretty dumb when it comes to training. Anyone have a plan they've used? Or any advice?
