Doug Logan is suing USATF for wrongful termination

Oh goody, this is going to be like watching two 9 year old girls fight.

Hightower has always been solely about herself. She is an ignorant and biggoted witch.

The best thing for the USATF would be to get rid of her and distance her as far away from the organization as possible.

Best news to date ! Finally we will get to see what Chairman Hightower has been up to ! From this if done correctly will be full disclosure in complete audits of both sides. Hards drives , text messages , phone records , yipee , the truth at last. Hopefully Mr. Logans team can get their hands on potential evidence prior to the Chairmans attempts to hide or destroy evidence. Oh by the way they can tell if a hard drive has been wiped clean or tampered with.

Logan strikes me as a bit of a flake and maybe he was never a great choice, but being a flake and an outsider isn't good cause to fire him, especially when they had just renewed his contract.

In the end, the USATF will be out Logan's salary plus whatever they pay their lawyers plus whatever harm the bad publicity does to corporate sponsorships.

The comments about what will likely come out in discovery in the lawsuit are also spot on. This will probably make everyone look bad and end whatever aspirations Hightower has to be CEO of USATF.

Logan may not have been the right choice (I liked him, but understand why others didn't), but he's a pro. His "opponents" in this lawsuit are amateurs. He's going to take them to the cleaners, and even though it's my money he'll be taking, I'm in his corner.

That idiotic blog post from Brooks Johnson isn't going to help USATF. I'm also in his corner. Amateurs is correct.

So bad that our Board gave him a raise a few weeks before firing him.

The pundits were right when they said the reformed board didn't have the maturity nor the foresight to step aside and let Logan transform USATF into a major sports enterprise / media property. Only Bill Roe and his crew had the vision and courage to bow out and wither away into obscurity for the good of our kids and our sport. The other volunteers on the board just couldn't give up their power and perks and instead decided to destroy the future of our sport in the USA. Now we're stuck in a endless rut with our showcase elite meets held at stadiums built on land fills still wreaking of the stench of humanity, at stadiums under perpetual construction delays, at venues where a measly 20,000 tickets sold are considered a success, at meets where NFL has-beens and high school filler races are featured to fill the stands, at meets where Jamaican high school races and local high school/college races are interleaved to fill the stands with parents and coaches. And we have no national USATF training center and apartments and no national stadium (like the Greeks had for 1200 years).

I haven't seen the contract at issue, but if the "termination for cause" provision is garden-variety stuff, I would be salivating over this case if I were Logan's litigation attorney. (I would also be telling Logan to shut his mouth.)
