You're starting to over train.

try doing some short intense strength stuff after some of your pm runs. Maybe a couple of quick sets of squats, pull ups, military press, core work )planks. You don't need to spend more than 15-20 minute tops on this. You'll raise testosterone and get a little hgh boost.

Aside from the fact that you might be training too hard. Training hard when things are going well can litterally be a substitute on some levels (not all obviously) for sex, as it gives you some of the same things. We crave things more when we're unhappy and things aren't going bad, which can be replaced with running when it's going well.

Again that's only part of it, but def a real part of it.

There was this thread on "Why I love high mileage" and to an extent you have a definite answer to why the testosterone levels for sex are low. When I run around 100 miles a week (right now and the previous summers) girls just seem to not matter as much. I know a lot of people are on this boat or can for sure relate to it. For those who have girlfriends/wives, have they ever said to you "You don't seem really into me right now" when you were running 100+? I can't imagine running 120+, I feel those levels would be even lower. When running so much and when you push the pain level high, I can empathize.

I'm in the same boat. the best option is to date a runner. If that's not the case, explain to them what's happening and how it's effecting you.

sounds like you're either overtraining or you're growing up and realizing that beating someone in a race doesn't fulfill your inferiority complex needs anymore, maybe find a new sport.

You are over training. Either get more rest or back down a little (not a lot) on the mileage. Sometimes your body just needs a little rest and you'll feel normal again then you can push it back up. One of the things american runners do is not listen to our bodys. We just pound out the miles every week because its on the schedule. Africans pay attention to what their bodys tell them and back off a little when they feel it then put back on when they feel good. If you feel no sex drive it means your testostrone has bottomed out from all the training. Remember that running is about stressing your body and then letting it build up from the stress if you skip the rest part and just keep stressing it out it will never have a chance to make it self faster.

I think a reduced sex drive is a natural part of the stress/recovery cycle while your body adjusts to new mileage. If you've been running the same mileage for a long time and it's still a problem, there might be a deeper issue. Despite what the others have been saying, I've found crankiness/bitterness to be a much better indicator of overtraining than just "sex apathy."

I've run over 200 miles per week for an extended period to train for an ultra. My sex drive didn't decrease at all, which was unfortunate given my lack of time to chase after it. If you've found your sex drive to decrease with more mileage, try cutting out masturbation if you haven't already.

I recommend adding sets of planks. Build up to being able to hold it without tiring excessively. Then, in future weeks, try doing them on top of your girlfriend.

Make sure you do not have low iron. You may need a iron supplement if you are running that mileage and not getting it in your diet. The person that recommend magnesium and zinc was right on. I would suggest some intense exercise thrown in there. Lift some moderately heavy weights and eat some red meat.

I had the same thing from about 10 months.... Best 10 months of training. I say screw the sex.. it is short-lived and if your fit and focus on training, running feels 100x better. All of these people who tell you it's a problem are clueless. Sex is just sex, running good is actually meaningful. Wait until your married to go to bone city and enjoy it with the same women.
