Sorry to do this, but could you guys give me your best guess of my current 800m ability?
10 x 200 w/ 60 seconds standing recovery in:

31.1

Avg=31.06
I'm more of a longer distance guy, for what it's worth. If you put a gun to my head, I doubt I could have run an 11th rep under 31.0. But I could have clicked off another 4-6 so at 31.5.

4-6 at 31.5 but you couldn't have done 1 just .6 faster than that? Gimme a break, that's taking off .3 seconds each 100 going at just a little over 15 seconds per 100!!
If you could do 4-6 more at 31.5 you could definitely do one under 31.
My main curiosity is why you are having us predict an 800 time? 60 seconds rest is a ton for that workout. The 800 time won't be good.

My all-out 200m speed is probably close to 29.5 seconds. So, 31.0 seconds is 1.5 seconds slower. 31.5 seconds is 2.0 seconds slower, an extra 33%. It just feels like a huge difference to ease off the throttle a little.

If your all-out best is only in the 29s then your ability to go 31s for so long says a lot.....but 60s is A LOT of rest for 200s. So I'd say more toward 2:10.

I was originally thinking 2:07-2:08, so at least I'm in the ballpark.
The general consensus is to shorten the recovery time. I'll give that a shot next time out.

Hace you ever done one fully rested all out. I reckon you could go a bit quicker but off that you are going to be closer to 2:10 than 2:05. I bet you are in fair shape though and could run a respectable 5km
If you want to improve on the 800m you need to work on your weakness -speed. Do some reps like over 200 - 400m but with much longer recoveries + steep hill reps and some strength work - RunningArt is good on this area

Your speed endurance is very good, but not your speed so you need to do a lot more than 10 x 200 to make full use of your ability.
