Base plan:
Day 1 - easy recovery run
Day 2 - AM: workout like 10x200 or something PM: easy 4-6 miles
Day 3 - medium long run of 8-10 miles
Day 4 - easy run of 7 miles + strides
Day 5 - AM: time trial run, lydiard style PM: easy 4-6 miles
Day 6 - AM: typical 7 mile run PM: easy 4 miles
Day 7 - long run of 12-14 miles
what do you think? the time trials are similar to lydiard. most of my running is done around 8 min/mile pace.
