That time was reasonably impressive.
They have zero chance of repeating.
if girma, colby and german all come in top 15, they have a chance

No, not really.
They won't have anyone else in the top 100. They will score around 250 and be an also ran.
they put their top 5 in front of forys today and freshmen will likely get better. we'll see how it shakes out, but top 3 is highly likely where they are now. stanford is a clear cut favorite, but they shit the bed last year. the ok state course is a lot more similar to what nats are run on than the stanford golf course

Cute.
Both irrelevant and ignorant.
But Cute.
relevant in the fact that anyone who calls that run "reasonably" impressive, is someone who hasn't run the course. relevant in the fact that the poster (probably you, cutesy boy) is more than likely a less than average runner- certainly not someone who is in a position to judge it being less than very impressive. so, in essence, i'd have to say that you're the ignorant one, B teamer.

You really don't think too well do you?
Isn't this that age-old nonsense about if someone cannot do something as well as someone else they are not "in a position to judge"... Honestly, can you say this without laughing out loud. I am truly curious.
I can just imagine the NBA. Given that this consists of something reasonably approximating all of the best basketball players in the world there must be nobody else in the world who "is in a position to judge". Oops, there goes the fan base. The entire fan base.
You might want to try to grow up a little bit on that one. Or perhaps try to gain at least some semblance of intelligence.
Now regarding "reasonably impressive", yes it was reasonably impressive. Not spectacular, but really quite good. Basically it was in line with winning times for this race over the last few years. Certainly much better than Girma managed a year ago, which bodes well for the Cowboys having a top three ready to hang with any top three in the NCAA later this year. Unfortunately, it takes five and the Cowboys' 4 and 5 are too far off for them to have much of a chance come Nationals.
Regarding "cutesy boy". I am sorry to disappoint you but I am not really oriented in this manner. You will have to search for someone cute for yourself elsewhere. Please do not feel bad about your "leanings". It is truly nothing to be ashamed of. It's just not the way I roll, that's all.
And finally, regarding your judgement of ignorance - given that you have clearly established your inability to think clearly (and you didn't even need any help from me on that one), I would have to say your claim of ignorance is a pretty good indicator of the opposite.
Farrell's a pretty solid 4th (7:56 3K guy, sub-4:00 mile I believe) assuming he's properly prepared distance-wise.
As for their 5th, it may be a little in the air at this point. I'd think a guy with Manilafasha's HS credentials should be able to fill the role. If not, McCoy could possibly step up (he was 2nd at Footlocker last year, afterall). Stubleski could be there as well.
If German, Lowe, and Girma can stay healthy through Nationals, they can easily have 3 in the top 10. Let's say they go 3-9-10, there's 22. Plus Farrell at 35th. That puts them at 57 with one to go. Manilafasha or McCoy could realistically place 50-75. There's 107-132, which could very easily win the meet.

I think you are confusing "easily" and "within the realm of possibility." No, I would not be shocked/amazed/stupefied if they all placed in the top ten. However, the chances are very remote. They are each fantastic runners, but so are 30 other guys. The chances of all three having near perfect races is slim.

This ^
Plus the notion of Farrell at 35th and Manilafasha or McElroy in 50 - 75 is, if not absurd, certainly highly unlikely.
Consider:
2010 Jamboree Results
7 Tom Farrell 24:28.80
9 Johnathan Stublaski 24:47.82 (2009 - 24:31)
11 Matthew McElroy 24:55.69
13 Joseph Manilafasha 25:00.51 (2009 - 25:13)
And note that Farrell just ran 2.5 seconds faster than Stublaski did last year (the year Stublaski finished 123rd at Nationals). Stublaski just ran slower than he did a year ago at this same meet and still beat Manilafasha and McElroy.
A far more realistic scenario than the one "orange pen" put forth with the Boys going 3, 9, 10, 35, (50 - 75) is one where they go:
3 Fernandez
12 Lowe
15 Mecheso
110 Farrell
125 Stublaski
Team score - 265 good for 6th place.
This post above is by far the most accurate I have seen with the Okie team.
I think and hope a fit German can dual McNeil and Derrick(sp).
Lowe should be just outside top 10. Girma is a wildcard depending on which Girma shows up and that may depend on the weather 25 degrees v/s 55??
I hope they do better but they cannot compete with Standford this year. Not enough depth.

If Germa doesn't flunk out first...
The other thing that needs to be taken into account was the weather during the race. From what I heard, it was hot and humid, leading to way less than ideal conditions. I'm not sure what it was like last year, but it definitely made it tougher this year.

Don't forget Ryan Prentice. He didn't run the meet, but he is on the team. Anyone know if he's running right now, hurt, or red-shirting? He'd be one hell of a solid 4th-5th man on that team if healthy and fit.
Stache - Your posts are usually spot on. Which makes this ^ one pretty surprising.
Ryan Prentice seemed like a great recruit with German and Colby but has done nothing since. If OK State has to rely on Prentice as a scorer then they are in serious trouble. He's a lot like Sean Fleming there - came in at a pretty high level (for HS) and hasn't really made any progress since then.
fleming is coming along well, just as we've planned. we have a lot of work to do with girma though, based on last saturday. i'm confident he'll be ready by november though, the same way that german was ready the last couple of years.
couldn't drop it, could you, cutesy boy? I'd have to say that once again, your complete ignorance of the subject has once again come to the forefront. Not only have you exposed yourself as a complete B list runner, but also to the fact that you know little about the ok st course. Look at the runners who have run it over the last 10 years. It's not some manicured golf course where your precious little Stanford boys that you would deem "impressive". This is a harrier's course at its finest. Mcdonnell had the utmost of respect for it. As he and dick weis were fairly good friends while still in the coaching ranks, John would bring us over every year to run the course. At that time, there were still wooden jumps to make it over. If i remembe correctly, I think falcon has been one of the few to break 30 over 10k there. There's been quite a few GREAT runners who have never cracked 24, or perhaps have just squeaked under it- especially at this time of the season. Can I say that you have zero right to even remotely judge a race of that caliber at this point of the season? Certainly, and without reservation. You are the typical letsrun running geek- fair to no talent, yet you consider yourself an expert on training and performances. Were you at the race? Did you see how it played out? Likely, all you saw was a time...and somehow, because you saw this time on the net, you feel that you are able to judge the performance. Think again, cutesy boy.
How cute. Once again.

Sorry little miss cute poster, but the score really isn't rolling in your favor. Maybe you should try a different sport. Have you tried tiddlywinks? You may have more luck in that arena.
