Can you name 10 good administrators, managers, meet directors, promoters, leaders, national office staffers under 40 with great ideas and/or a history of success?

No. Almost nobody under 40
I can think of some, but they almost certainly wouldn't want to devote their talents to such a frustrating undertaking.
I smell sitcom or reality tv.
no one in the US and no one in IAAF. the european agents are all old school and hanging on. the european meet directors are all old guard. the IAAF staff still have pagers in a iphone world. people just need to attend one USATF convention in their 30s to decide never to come back again.
Thought the addition of Dr Chapman might improve things on the distance side, but too many deadbeats to get anything decent going and he'll end up like the rest.
I am quite certain that he is over 40 (by a little), but Pete Julian (athlete, meet director, D1 coach) is impressive.
1) Rich Kenah is a younger guy who does a good job as agent and meet director.
2) Is anyone in Indianapolis at the national office even under 40?

USATF should be dissolved and other federation should be commissioned.The weird thing about "volunteers' is it is often harder to get rid of them than staff people, but ya gotta get rid of them.
Don't forget:
Term Limits: No person may spend more than 4 years at Director or higher salaried and volunteer position, or combination therof.
Internet Voting: USATF members may vote via the internet from locations anywhere in the world.

there are a few good agents, meet directors, elite athlete coordinators, race staff, etc out there....but NONE would want to do anything for USATF. Kind of a sad statement really.
If I wasn't so old I'd go in there myself and kick some geezer ass!

A governmental Barackracy wants to actually hire a CEO with tangible, real world business acumen and experience???? Maybe the times are a changin....
I've never been a CEO myself but have I been a VP Engr & board member of hi tech companies. The current BoD should be reassigned as the Volunteer Operations Advisory Board, i.e. a "User Group" of distinguished T&F luminaries. I wouldn't recommend the job of CEO to any successful/experienced person unless it was for both the CoB and CEO position. That sole individual would have the authority to name her/his own executive team and replace the board "at will".
