If healthy all season, 3rd-9th. He isn't going to challenge Sam, and there is always someone who steps up huge (Mead, Derrick, Puskedra... maybe Ulrey or someone completely different)... so I think he get's 3rd at best. He is too talented to finish outside the top 10, imho. It will take a serious mental collapse or injury for him to be much further back. Both could happen, but I don't think they will.
How can you even mention Pusekdra in this? Now if anyone is done, it's him!

Its too soon to say he's done. He had a sophomore slump. It wasn't any worse then what Fernandez put up. Let's see what happens in year 3.

I saw this guy destroy Derrek and Pusk at USA Junior XC a couple years back so I have trouble seeing a healthy Fernandez placing outside top 5.
I think, if he is healthy, Chelanga or Derreck will have to go sub 29 to beat him on that Terre Haute course

Yeah we get that, it is just that none of us figure he will be healthy.
It is not Sammy boy who is going to HAVE to run fast to beat him at Terre Haute, it will be Fernandez that is going to have to run retardedly out of his mind in order to even compete with Chelanga over a 10k xc race. Don't pretend that German is the one to beat.
1st...He'll pull a Rupp on Chalanga...It'll be Chalanga, Derrick, Mcneil coming throughthe gate and into that long straighaway..then German will put the surge on.
