I've heard that Solinsky typically trains at around 5:40 pace. Even when he does recovery, he goes fast. Apparently no one on his team can stay with him on easy days because he runs fast. This is how I trained for track last winter. Obviously I didnt run every run at 5:40, but i never ran slower than 6:40 for a mile all season. I've read some threads on here where people are giving advice of doing 5 miles at 8 min pace when someone is asking how to break 14. My Prs were 1:59, 4:24, and 9:40. Do you guys think I would have ran faster if I would have taken some days easier, or do you think some people just revoery faster and can push themselves everyday.
