Satisfying run. Kind of wonder if he did do a “sit and kick” tactic (video please?). Either way his first 1500m run back in a low key race like this is a good sign. Throw him in with the bigger dogs next time (i.e. Kiprop, Gregson, Manzano, Kiplagat, Wheating, Lagat, etc) I would assume he could go 3:35 then.

Well, not knowing how the race played out, keep in mind that Ndiwa has a 3:36.1 SB.

This is enough proof for me to believe Sally's claim that he'll return to 3:3low shape. the 1:52 wasn't doin' it for me, but a ~3:58 mile FTW is a good step towards being world class again.

10/10 and if you want an example of another runner who's on the comeback and ran something like what Webb did, just ask 2008 Olympic silver medalist Nick Willis.

I'll say. This race started 15 minutes after the 1500 by the meet schedule.

He just needed a 1:49 split on a 4x800 and this would have been a reprise of the Alan Webb legendary HS triple "pro-style".

This is good stuff, though. Certainly, his fitness is picking up if he's winning by almost a second against a guy with an SB of 3:36. Also, he did that without the peace of mind of being done and probably had that 5,000 in the back of his head.

3:41 is a great sign, but the win makes it even better. The 3:36 guy he beat ran his PR just 3 weeks ago. Hopefully a video will surface.
