In the past week I've done 95 miles with no doubles. I've run this kind of mileage before, and higher, but always by getting in some morning runs of 5 or six miles a few times a week. In my latest build up I've been running only singles.
Running 12-15 miles does not seem that taxing to me, and I keep the pace dialed back on easy days. I'm still getting quality in - last week a 10 mile tempo and a 10x800 session.
My question for those that have experimented with this before is am I heading for disaster? Should I cut the easy runs down a bit and instead double up? I'm just a bit afraid of working into a hole I don't see coming. I'm sleeping like mad but haven't seen a decrease in performance yet.
Thoughts?
