Rudisha essentially ran 25.275 per 200 4x consecutively, although I recognize that these were not his splits. My guess is that, 99 percent of posters could not have currently paced him for any length of time whatsoever.
Let's assume he ran fairly even for the first 400, which as I understand it may have been 49.1. (this may be slightly off). If he split 49.1 evenly, this means he would have been at 24.55 at 200. He also would have been 12.275 at 100, although he probably ran his second 100 faster than his first for obvious reasons. So the vast majority of good high school 400 meter boys probably would have struggled to rabbit this race for 400. You'd have to be a world class athlete to have stayed with Rudisha for 600. Could any professional athletes in team sports have stayed with him for 400?
