i think it was these crappy running shorts i wore
i cant take a shower today after the run, just too painful
maybe in 1-2 days
yes, the chafing was that bad...
you need body glide. I have to use it every run or else i get terrible chafing
Yes thanks, it's weird yeah I ran pretty long time for 1 hour 40mins today. I only seem to get it if I wear these Brooks shorts I got 2 years ago for 10bucks lol
Low 80s for the miles this week though, pleased with that, not pleased with the chafing though
No. Vaseline.
Get a pair of CW-X Pro shorts.
Prevention is the best method, i.e., Vaseline or the many other like products.
BUT! You'll likely forget to lube up, or figure you won't be too sweaty to bother, whatever, and you'll get chafed from time to time. The best way to deal with it when it happens, in my opinion, is with a shower head that is on a hose and you can direct the spray anywhere directly on your body. I know it may sound crazy, but the best thing to do is spray a strong stream directly on the area and move it back and forth (the water stream) quickly, though keeping the stream right on the chafed area. Also, rubbing it at the same time can help even more. After that, continue with your regular showering. Of course, when you soap up, the longer the soap is sitting on that area the more and more it will start to sting, though it's quite bearable. When you rinse the soap off it will sting again, but, again, not nearly as bad as it would if you hadn't already done the previous direct spraying. You should just quickly and directly spray the soap off as well.
Seriously, it works!
Happens everytime in the rain. Vaseline: it's cheap and it works. You need to wash with soap and water. It hurts but not nearly as much as a skin infection there.

Should have simply read:
