As of now, of modern era runners, Stefano Baldini has a far better career than Solinsky.

Franks shorter won a gold and a silver medal in the Olympic marathon and won numerous other marathons and 10000 meter races.
Don't be surprised if Rupp eclipses both of Solinsky's 3000 and 5000 PRs in the next two weeks. Mark my words.

Rupp is 2 years younger and on the level already. He also runs about 20-30 less miles a week. He has room to grow.

And...given he was 99% probably doped, but Baumann was much better than both of them...

I didn't say middle distance. And I don't care if he isn't, but I do think 26:59 and 12:55 merit him some discussion.
