however, she is rabbiting Stockholm this wekeend.
It took balls to admit that. Just balls.
I am not sure why Rojo/Wejo don't understand this quote. Lauren said in her blog that 1) she is personally / philosophically not sure about the roles of rabbits (and explains the pros and cons and 2) she knows her limits and she won't ever set a world record.
But, although she didn't say it, I am sure she believes that she could, at some point, set the American 5000m Record.
So, as an athlete, I can understand helping someone else (philosophical differences aside) in trying to aspire to do something that you will never do (set a 5000m WR). However, I too wouldn't want to help someone to set a record that you yourself think that you could also set. Get some other American, who doesn't have a chance to ever set the American record (or foreigner) to help rabbit an American record attempt.
Why would it be in Lauren's best interest to help a fellow American to an American record, when she also might have the ability to set it?
This is about competition right? Or should we just all go to the track and hold hands and jog a 5000m together while signing Kumbaya?
She is a Sell Out!
so khadevis robinson is what then? give it a rest, guys.
I thought the Brojos were smart guys. Maybe not. Fleshman makes it very clear in her blog that she does not feel she's a contender to set a world record (it's 14:11, and she isn't),so she's willing to rabbit for that. But she is a sub-15:00 runner herself and if there's an attack on the American record, she can be one of those making the attack, not just rabbiting someone else's effort.
It's pretty clear what she meant, and pretty clear she's correct.
Yes, she's saying she wants the American 5k record. She'll need to move to Portland to do that.
To me it's not what she said but why she felt the urge to say it.
I'd sell my soul to see Rhines break the AR in this race.
Let's be honest - does she have a shot at the world record? No. Does she have a shot at the American record? Maybe. So should she help someone else put the American record farther out of reach, or help someone else set a world record that she would never break in the first place?
KR is done setting american records.
Fleshman said she would be happy to rabbit a 1500 or 10k for whomever. She knows she can't run 14:11, so she doesn't mind rabbiting stockholm. But she thinks she can get the american record and that it would be stupid to help someone else get it. I wouldn't imagine flanagan would help her break the american record either!
If you read Fleshman's entire comment about world and American records, there's really no basis to criticize her here. Reading is fundamental.
I was supporting her. Try not to be an idiot. Or respond to whom you are directing this comment.
"To me, a record book in any sport is like reading “Ripley’s Believe it or Not;” some of its legit, but the rest is a freak-show. How can anyone tell the difference anymore? Read the women’s 3k world record, for example, and tell me your reaction is not similar to this or this!"
(Links to Ripley's Believe It or Not)
hahaha I'm glad she is honest instead of trying to pretend all the women's WR's are clean.

What is the going rate for an encounter with a hermaphodite?
I’m rarely one to put physical limitations on myself but I can comfortably say I won’t be breaking the world record myself; its of no threat to me to help someone else do it. But you won’t see me rabbit often. The circumstances have to be right. For example, I’d never rabbit an American to an American record in the 5k because it is something I aspire to myself.
She writes as bad as most of you.
You should see the thread from yesterday detailing using adverbs and adjectives. This will help you stop from criticizing writing while making grammatical errors.
