So I'm in out of country in this city where the atmosphere is sort of like NYC. Busy streets, etc.
However I can't find a place to run. The hotel doesn't have a treadmill, I've asked the receptionist and locals if there is a track or park nearby, nothing.
I can't run on the streets because there are cars everywhere and sidewalks have people on them going both directions.
This is terrible.
I tried waking up early around 4:30AM to run on the streets where people and car traffic is low, except it's super dark and there are cracks and divets in the road/sidewalks that I don't want to twist or sprain my ankle.
I'm in this city for the next 3 FREAKIN WEEKS. I'm afraid this is going to ruin my cross country season...where can I run? Anyone else encounter a situation like this? What can I do so I don't lose fitness while still prepare myself for cross country?
I was running around 40 miles building up to 70...I guess that's not going to happen as I got 2 miles in yesterday pretty much from dodging people on the sidewalks...
Ugh...I hate this.
