They should be blaming Dan Gilbert (the owner). He was the one who gutted the team by firing Brown and having Ferry leave because of it. Lebron saw that his way of trying to buy a title was not going to work. Here is the thanks that owner gave Lebron for 7 fantastic seasons.

Good for the owner, and he's right. Where in the world does anyone get the idea that 2 or 3 showboat superstars on the same team, sharing the rock, is the secret to an NBA dynasty? Where in the world does anyone see that James is a team player? He has a history of personal and team collapse in NBA playoffs. He always blames others, always talks about himself in the third person. Never once gave the Cleveland Cavs and their fans any real credit for all they did to make an uneducated idiot like him such a multi-millionaire. More overpaid, more overrated than Charles Barkley. They will have a lot in common- ZERO championships.

Lebron was an idiot to drag things out this long. He will most likely win a Title however, Pat Riley has already swindled the TWolves out of their first round pick next year, and they are making room for Brad Miller to join the team as well.

so...he's an ego maniac apparently that's giving up $ and the spotlight in order to attempt to win and thats a bad thing. cleveland did nothing to attempt to keep him, they assumed he would feel the homesick bug and stay. no trades, they waited until recently to choose a coach, and still have no GM from what i understand. the front office in that city is garbage. they tried their best during the reg. season, but when other teams r pitching their ideas to him and trying their hardest to sway him, the cavs seemed content with andy varejo and mo williams.

This is NOT true...Riley swapped future 1st round picks with the T-Wolves, but I understand the Wolves can delay this for a few years, and certainly are NOT swapping next year's picks. The Wolves get Beasley and give up a 2nd round pick in 2011 and swap future 1st round picks, but in a few years the Wolves may not be giving up a lottery pick, or at any rate they undoubtedly cannot get much worse, so delaying it makes sense from their point of view.

the letter from the owner was pure genius. it is a publicity stunt designed to get more people to watch the cavs. well played. he probably doesnt feel as emotional as the letter let on. but, i guarantee he will sell many more tickets and receive more national air time b/c of the letter. its entertainment after all. well played by the owner...
