I remember reading his trackshark blog when he was at Howard years ago. Seemed like a stand up guy, but I never thought (until recently obviously) that he'd get anywhere near these kinds of times. Outstanding.
This meet has been pretty good so far! Great run by David
Outstanding run!
Remember that Oliver used to be a football player first and hurdler/sprinter 2nd...eventually putting full effort into track. Also remember that even as recently as 2008, he was really sloppy through the hurdles. He was fast, no doubt. He is big and powerful and could just bull through the hurdles. But still, it slows even him. Now you see what a clean run by him yields....and American Record time.
Is this the outright record?

=AR with Arnold.
that guy's a beast! what a run
What was the wind?
legit +1.6. what a run, hoping trammell is watching...
To be technical we should realize this is not an outright AR. For what it's worth however he ran a great time. He said last week that he doesn't run for a time, simply races. I really hope to see him dip under 12.90 and sneak on the WR. Great things to come for David
Man wears split shorts to hurdle, and has the shoulders of a polar bear. Impressive.
I remember when Skeets was hugely popular. The HH have lost a lot of luster over the years. Maybe Oliver will bring back some interest.
When Oliver ran sub-13 last week hitting the first hurdle, you just knew there was more there. He said in the post-race interview he got a bad start. Maybe so out of the blocks. But he looked so crisp over the hurdles. So smooth for such a big man. He really can fill up a lane. Clipped a couple of the last barriers but he's such a beast he probably didn't even feel it. Seeing that televised was probably worth not seeing the 1000m (can there be a higher compliment from a letsrunner?). It was a great run.
dude seems legitimately funny and down to earth. great attitude, doesn't try to BS anything and really wants to race

The thrill that'll getcha when you get your pictcha on the cover of the Track and Field News.
Gonna buy five copies for my mother!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ux3-a9RE1QThis was awesome. Clearly the performance of the meet on the men's side, although the 200m was pretty impressive as well.
I thought he still looked sluggish out of the blocks. Better than last week though. He also hit hurdle number 8. Clean both of those things up and he will have himself a WR.
He has always been a big, strong guy but his fitness over a full flight this season is amazing.
