Hope it all works out for her.
Too bad. Mental issues though?
if you call a death in the family and a really bad leg injury "mental issues"...
perhaps...there's more to life, than running? gasp
She could easily get back into she just needs to find that desire again. Very talented and her career isn't over by any means.
a medical thing?maybe its lupus.(its never lupus.)

As one who knows her situation can everyone just accept the young woman has a medical issue that she would prefer the whole world not have to know has affected her.
The issue is one that has some physical impact on her being at the elite level but it is obvious she is trying to move on with her life. Could those with rampant speculation please give her space. Seems there are always haters of those who have achieved success like Rebecca and those who resent athletes who lived and breathed the sport and weren't afraid to hide it. Her dreams might not be coming true like she hoped 4 years ago but she is very young and certainly capable of many great things in the years ahead.

I wouldn't consider speculation the product of haters of those who have achieved success. When the article leaves it so open ended it naturally causes people to wonder. Also, if you have ever been on these boards before you would know that this will happen regardless of your little lecture you just gave, it would have been more beneficial if you wouldn't have said anything.
And, I would hardly call what I said speculation.
Too bad Lannana tried to rush her back, too bad he kept pushing it. Ruined any hopes of making it back.
Her career is over, hope she is hot.
bulimia?
bump
From watching this for a couple years, I think it is correct to say that Lananna did not try to rush her back to the track. Rather than disparage Vin's handling of the situation, why not commend him for working with her, allowing her to keep her scholarship until she got her degree, and trying to insulate her from a-holes like LR posters who are too juvenile to understand these things.
I'd say the school did a fair amount for her. She even got to practice with them while ineligible. Ultimately, the dream has to come from inside. Lame Pre movie quote incoming: you can't coach desire.
She won a NCAA title for them. I am glad they were soooo noble to keep her on scholarship.

No. Schizophrenia, AIDS, leprosy, hepatitis c, syphilis, crabs, MS and a giant, dripping anal fissure.

I agree. These college coaches get you for 4 years and want to get whatever they can out of you with no concern for longevity in the sport.
Here is a clue. She will never have children naturally.
