I noticed the other day that the elevation graph from a Track Work out I did the other day at a local HS track looked like a hill workout. The graph was showing a elevation gain every 200 Meters of 28 ft.
I thought that maybe the Garmin was not accurate so I checked Google Earth and it is showing the same Altitude Variation of 28 Ft. From the North End of the Track to the South End.
I then looked up two other HS Tracks in the area in Google Earth and the altitude from North, South, East or West was exactly the same.
Why would they have built the track with such a variance? Is there a standard for certifying a track that allows such a variance?
If you search on the following Address and check the altitude from North End to South, you will see:
975 Stout Rd.
