They look unstoppable. Emily Lipari coming in as well.

Ummm... ever heard of Oregon?
Oregon won't make the top 5. Losing Blood, bunch of slug recruits. They are toast.
they have akande coming in as well from GA, solid incoming class
Why do you feel compelled to call the winner of a meet 5 months before it happens? If it does occur will you feel like you know more than everyone else? This sounds like those morons who have to pick some less than likely winner far ahead of the race and say "You heard it here first.", like anyone will remember or care. You never hear from the person who made these predictions post about the fact that they were completely wrong and they are sorry that that took up your time and are a total schmuck.
They have some good recruits coming in. Sarah Andrews from Texas, who has finished 2nd at NXN.
But you shouldn't discount the other school in the Northwest. Kelly MacDonald-Strong leaving hurts them a lot, but their recruiting class is crazy.
Megan Goethals, FLN champ
Katie Flood, NXN champ
Chloe Curtis, CA state champ
Mackenzie Carter, top Fayetteville-Manlius runner
Megan Morgan, one of the best runners in CA
Liberty MIller, also one of the best runners in CA
Wow!!
Calling it right now, Villanova women won't repeat as XC champs in 2010.
One of us will be right? BUT WHO!?
Villanova will destroy everyone. Won't even be close. Most likely their 1-5 will finish in the top 30.
Well Villanova has an advantage because Gina Procaccio is actually a good coach, unlike Metcalf.

1. Washington
2. Villanova
3. Duke
4. N. Carolina
5. Oregon
Calling it right now, I guarantee Washington will be National XC champions for the next four years....oh, oops, that's what I predicted last year. Oh well, callling it right on, I guarantee Nova will be National XC champions for the next four years. You heard it here. Remember that I told you so. It is a guaranteed lock. Yadda, yadda.
Repeating is very difficult, which is why it rarely happens; even if you are a great team, winning one time requires a lot of things falling into place. There have been several teams, who who won one year and returned their entire top 5 and could not repeat. Although, Nova has as good a chance of repeating as any team I can think of in many years and it is not becasue they have the best athletes, but the best coach. This may sound cornny, but the Nova girls run with a tremendous amount of pride and they truely love their coach...I don't care how many great athletes you have, there is no subsitute for this.
A few things:
I see of lot of people focusing on incoming freshmen; if you take the top ten incoming freshmen, 2 will redshirt, 2 will completely flame out and never be heard from again, 2 will be sidelined with an injury come time for the NCAA Champs, 2 will make team, but not the top 7...the point is, in most years only 2 of the top incomming freshmen will score for team that is in contention.
If Kendra stays put and a healthy Christine, Washington will be right were they were two years ago.
Someone said Oregon want finish in the top 5; I am not sure how you calculate this, but they sould be able to put 2 in the top 10. Hasay/Koszinski)
Even w/o Barringer, expect to see a much improved Buffs.
Villanova only loses 1 senior who scored and she wasn't their best runner by a longshot. They get Lipari and a several other outstanding Freshman. They are as close to a LOCK as it gets.
oii 6 in the top 30 that is bold
It's possible this is how I see it!
Amanda Marino 5th
Sheila Reid 8th
Bogdana Mimic 17th
Alison Smith 18th
Emily Lipari 22nd
Villanova wins 70 points. Way better than the 86 they had last year and they still won easily.
I CALLED IT AND SO IT SHALL BE!
