Fast 800m/1500m in Madison Thursday

Why isn't Bolas going to finish the 1500m? He seems to be running great right now.

Bolas has met the A Standard of 3:41.20. It looks like Miller and Finnerty will have to get under that to get into the USA Championships.

Has anybody else signed up? Is there anyone within driving distance who can hold on to those paces and who needs an A standard? (Sowinski?)

This thing aint even gonna happen. If it does the weather will no doubt suck. Why cant they go somewhere else instead of trying to host their own impromptu meet?

Also, if you're a regular human being, our club (WTC) will have a variety of other events offered, including a steeple and 800 (not sure if there is an open 1500).

The Wisconsin Track Club has hosted summer all-comers meets for many years. This is going on along with the second Summer Track Series meet. FAT will be there, why travel?

Cool a track CLUB meet. so whats that mean breaking two will be the winner for the 800??? Those guys are wayyy off of the A and thats even if they sniff the B

Any word on the time? Will these be the last two events of the Meet?

Do you really think Craig Miller can't run 3:41.2 in a rabbited meet? And does it hurt you somehow that other guys want to give it a shot at home?

How many guys do they take for the 800 and 1500 to usa's?

Secondly, the summer track series are meets put on for the community, so old people, young people, high school and college runners, throwers and jumpers all show up to compete for fun.

800 is currently slated for 7:20pm but may change. I believe the 1500m will be tacked on at the end (so sometime around 9-9:15pm). This has yet to be determined for sure, though.

The guy pacing the 800 is going to run his PR for the 6?

Seems like a good way to get an uneven pace going.

Snap, I think HODGEPODGE and WTCER should settle this on a track. How about an 800?

Also, these meets are usually just for fun with the majority of entrants being under 15 years old. We do get the occasional Olympian (at least one while I was here), or guy breaking 2 in the 800 (for example), but its pretty laid back and fun. We also host a cool road mile around the capitol. For the college club runners, our main gig is running club and D3 XC and track races during the school year, which we do fairly well in.

There is also a large part of our club which does mostly just summer meet stuff. Its great to have a club which is pretty diverse (and trying to branch out more).

I'm guessing James (who is a 46 400 guy right now) will go through in 52 and then drop out after he gets tired somewhere on the back straight. He won big ten indoors to get that PR; I doubt it is a very strong PR.
