splits 63/58, unless I'm confused. She's crazy good.

I had her 60/61 . . .
I'd say Beckwith is just as much the future as Wright. She ran the 200/400 in HS and didn't even run the 800 until fairly recently (once she gave up soccer for good). She's going to get even better with more experience at the distance and also with more aerobic training.
Thanks to Microsoft, CBS, and NCAA for screwing up the internet feed so the 12 of us track fans nationwide who wanted to watch Phoebe Wright's historic win just missed history.
thats more likely. i was just listening to the announcer, who must've been confused.
Yes, it seemed like she ran even splits. Beckwith is a strong new talent that should make an impact too.
The announcer said she was 58.x at the 400.

Amazing for someone who started out as a walk on. She is the future of track and field!

Hell yeah, smashed that 2 minute barrier and beat the best 800 runners the U.S. has to offer. Great run!
Alysia Johnson, with a world indoor bronze and a USA title, is still obviously part of that future
Agreed, one of the biggest comeback stories by Alysia Johnson after a disappointing 2008 (and even 2009).
